ILDES provides consultancy services to governmental and private institutions, and individuals with regards to ecological and sustainable practices.

Presentations and outreach to governmental and private institutions demonstrating different strategies that allow these institutions to prosper economically and socially, while reducing their ecological impact.

Organizations and individuals in Latin America have access to information and learning opportunities about ecological and sustainable practices.

Objectives

  • Disseminate information about ecological and sustainable practices through the ILDES website and various other public awareness materials.
  • Coordinate learning opportunities in different bioregions in Latin America that will offer courses/workshops and conferences on topics such as Local currencies,  Cooperatives, permaculture/forest gardens, natural-building, organic gardening, alternative energy systems, waste recycling, grey water treatment, composting toilets etc. More outreach to educational institutions to integrate ecological and sustainable practices in their curricula.
  • Conducting public awareness forums and making presentations at educational institutions.Work with government, private and social institutions to incorporate ecological and sustainable technologies and practices in their operations.
